Is humorous packaging appropriate for high-quality beer?
Client:
Uiltje Brewing Company, a Dutch brewery.
Brief:
Uiltje asked us to gain insight into how their target group perceives the brand, packaging and video advertisements. They wanted to know whether these come across as intended and whether the perceptions match their desired brand image.
Our approach:
We gathered a group of beer enthusiasts from our online community, Food Forum. These members participated in a series of online activities, including polls, online discussions, and photo assignments. The participants were recruited through a professional research panel.
The findings a nutshell:
We assisted Uiltje by providing them with a better understanding of how their target audience perceives the brand and how they can communicate the high quality of their beer in a manner that aligns with their style.
We believe that understanding consumers is key to making the food system more sustainable. Successful innovation and impactful communication require a solid foundation of consumer insight.
We are the insights partner of choice for food companies and non-profits that aim to have a positive impact on society and our planet. Together we empower consumers to make food choices that are good for them as well as for the planet.
