Measuring the potential for a new app

Client:

Meal Matchers

Brief:

Meal Matchers supports its users with meal suggestions that match their preferences and broadens their palate. Furthermore, it helps users eat more healthily and sustainably, as meals that score better in terms of health and sustainability are suggested first.

Product owner Pascalle wanted to know: what is the potential of this concept? What kind of consumer would be most likely to love Meal Matchers?

Our approach:

This study took place with the help of the Food Forum, our conscious consumer community. We began with a qualitative study comprised of eight assignments with the goal of refining the original concept. We then conducted a quantitative concept test to determine Meal Matchers’ potential and define the target group with the highest adoption potential.

Feedback on our work:

“The insights from the Food Forum community have helped us develop our idea further and position it more sharply. Without the members’ input, we would have used the wrong communication angle to appeal to consumers. I was very surprised by the richness of feedback and enthusiastic discussions in the community.”
Pascalle van Hemert, Product owner
