Grab Offers Philippine Farmers Direct to Consumer Delivery

Delivery platform Grab partnered with the Philippines’ Department of Agriculture (DA) to help out local farmers. They are providing on-demand delivery for the eKadiwa online marketplace: a government initiative selling fresh produce on farmers’ behalf. The scheme, delivering goods directly to consumers, ensures that consumers pay reasonable prices for their food and farmers are compensated fairly for their work. As a bonus, eKadiwa is ideal for consumers who want to avoid busy local markets and grocery stores.

Everybody wins. Consumers get the fresh products they need without risking contamination. Grab’s drivers have work. Local farmers can sell their products at fair prices.
