Food guru research results in new knowledge platform

In Belgium, the InFlood project will map out who are the most influential food gurus, what they proclaim and whether this influences our consumption behavior. The next step is to try to apply the communicative success recipes of the self-proclaimed experts to scientifically based nutritional advice. This should lead to a platform for reliable information about food: FOODIE (Food Infotainment Education). Several federations of the food industry are involved in the project. This raises questions, certainly because there are also economic goals associated with the project. Such as reducing the decline in the meat sector turnover by half. It is indicated that the goal is mainly to focus on vegetarian alternatives and better prices for the meat. It seems that the project is going to focus on incorrect information that is spread about bread, sugar, meat and milk. The climate is hardly mentioned by the project.
