NOT ALL MEAT SUBSTITUTES ARE EQUALLY DURABLE

Meat substitutes are generally more durable than meat. Less land is needed and production produces less CO2 emissions. However, there are also differences between meat substitutes in how sustainable they are. The composition of the ingredients and the production process determine this. The most sustainable option are vegetable meat substitutes, which are produced in a very environmentally friendly way. 
Dairy-based meat substitutes, however, do not appear to be as sustainable at all.
